Things for Happiness: Week 16

Happy Saturday, y'all! It's been quite a long week and I cannot even begin to explain how incredibly excited I am that it's the weekend... It feels like I've been waiting for it for a long time.. Though it was a long one, it was a week full of little things that reminded me to smile!

So here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):

1. The Amon G. Carter Museum here in Fort Worth is hosting an exhibition about the history of color photography, titled "Color!" Since I'm such a photography dork, of course I had to go out and see it! My guy and I went yesterday, and it was absolutely brilliant. My favorite part had to be the wall of photographs they had collected from people from the 40's all the way up to the present.. It was incredible, and wonderfully inspiring!
2. Whiskey Pistol is a band that one of my friends does social media work for. She contacted me to ask if I would be interested in doing some photos for them, and I obliged - I'm so glad I did! I went to one of their performances on Tuesday night and I was immediately won over by their sound - they're fantastic! 3. Halloween was on Thursday, so of course my friends and I had to take the opportunity to dress up! This year's costumes? Gruu and his minions from Despicable Me. It was a huge hit - big shout out to Liz for being amazing and making our costumes look incredible!
4. On Wednesday night, I hosted a dinner for one of my sorority's educational leadership consultants. She was such a sweet girl, and I had a lot of fun chatting with her and my other sisters who came by. (And yes, our dinner spread was quite diverse: chicken, mac & cheese, salad, broccoli, and... Pancakes?)
5. This guy. I know I basically put him on the list every single week, but he deserves it, time and time again. He had a long, tiring week but he still took the time to come see me and comfort me when I wasn't feeling too great emotionally. It's gushy and gross, but he really does mean a whole lot to me. I can't even begin to describe how lucky I feel to have him in my life.

Hard to believe it's already November... Personally, I am ready for Thanksgiving Break and cool temperatures. Only about three and a half more weeks left of my semester... It's crazy!
