My Takeaways from Spring Break

For my last spring break ever (eek!), I traveled to the beautiful country of Peru with an international marketing class through TCU's Neeley School of Business. Eighteen of my peers and two of my professors and I ventured through four towns in nine days and saw incredible sights that took my breath away and renewed within me a sense of gratitude and awe at the beautiful world that we live in.

For the past few months, I’ve felt like I was missing something – I just wasn’t sure what it was. But now I know that this trip gave me exactly what I missing: refreshed eyes, a new way to look at the world, an awakened passion, and a big dose of healthy perspective on my life and humanity in general.

Overall, Peru is not a wealthy country. This fact was glaringly evident through all of our travels in the mountains. The rural villages we passed were filled with dilapidated houses that looked abandoned and ready to fall over with the slightest tremor, but were still inhabited by (often large) families. Even in the big cities, most of the buildings were in disrepair and looked worn. Rusted and dented cars were a common sight on the roads – I think I saw only one “expensive” car my whole time in Peru – a Mercedes – and it was on our last day, as we entered the airport to board our flight back to the United States. Buses and cars were filled beyond capacity with people sitting uncomfortably on laps and in trunks. On the streets, beggars were a common sight, and children that looked as young as five or six peddled their modest wares of bubblegum or hard candies as well as they could to passing tourists. Stray, ragged-looking dogs wandered through the streets, intermingling with people. Most of the roads we drove on were made of cobblestone or old packed dirt, and were often bumpy and full of potholes.

But despite the obvious poverty surrounding us, the general feeling of the Peruvian people was one of joy and contentment. They didn’t have much, but it didn’t matter. Many of the dirty children running around the dirt roads of rural towns shrieked joyously, smiling and having the time of their lives. Laughter rang through the streets as people talked and joked with their peers. All of my interactions with Peruvian adults were full of smiles and genuine kindness, even though I was a glaring outsider and there was a sizable language barrier. Every Peruvian that I talked to was incredibly gracious and offered me a refreshing glance at the innate kindness that I know all humanity is capable of.
One of my most memorable observations in Peru was the blatant contrast between modern society and traditional culture. On the streets of Cusco, women in traditional skirts and hats carried their babies bundled on their backs in beautiful hand-woven blankets among the hustle and bustle of people passing by with headphones in their ears, listening to music on their smartphones. The Peruvians are proudly unashamed of their culture, and up to half of the populations in some of the cities we stayed in still maintained the Incan language of Quechua. In the rural towns, traditional homes made of adobe clay were nestled next to convenience stores adorned with neon lights and "Free Wi-Fi" signs.

My experience with Peruvian Wi-Fi was inconsistent and unreliable, but I found the break from a constant technological connection incredibly refreshing and very welcome. I had been trying for weeks to “unplug and disconnect,” but had found it incredibly difficult because of the constant temptation in the States. In Peru, I had no choice. Instead of staring into my phone, I had a chance to make genuine connections with all of the people on the trip, and it rejuvenated my soul in a way that I haven’t felt in a long time. I took hundreds of photos, but I also took a moment to be present in the moment and enjoy the view from my own eyes – not just through the screen of my iPhone or through the viewfinder of my camera. Bus rides through the countryside were long and sometimes arduous, but were always aesthetically enjoyable. It was only in the moments that I felt too tired to keep my eyes open or that I was too busy laughing and talking with my peers that I didn’t make the most of soaking up the natural beauty passing by the windows.

Back in the US, I feel unbelievably lucky with all that I have. Things that I took for granted before – consistent access to clean water, safely maintained roads, completed construction, and more – are now invaluable luxuries that I appreciate beyond compare. In the past few months, money has been a big concern for me as I approach graduation. I worried about finding a job, keeping a job, and making enough money at a job. I wanted to be happy, and having enough money was a big factor in what I thought would make me happy. I had money, but I worried about getting more money to maintain the lifestyle that I was so used to. I wanted to be able to afford “nice” (but not necessarily the “nicest”) things, but my Peruvian experience reaffirmed the fact that it’s not about the tangible things in your life – it’s about the people and the experiences. I spent a fair amount of money on my trip, but the experiences and the lessons I have learned from Peru’s history, people, and culture are invaluable – there is absolutely no way to quantify the value of what I have taken away from this trip in my heart, my mind, and my soul.
Here's to you, Peru - thank you for opening my eyes, renewing my perspective on the world, and refreshing my joie de vivre at absolutely the best possible time. Te adoro y yo volvere.

Things for Happiness: Week 18

Belated post... Better late than never! I just had way too much fun this weekend to care about doing anything productive. It was a very welcome change.

Here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. I took engagement photos for a lovely couple this weekend - they were so much fun to work with, both incredibly gorgeous human beings, and seeing their undeniable chemistry made me smile. I love seeing two people who are so incredibly perfect for one another and so incredibly smitten with each other. These two were it.
  2. My sorority had a social event on Friday - "Hot Joggers and Rugged Loggers." Though my roommate - and date for the night - (in the pink) and I didn't end up going because the buses took forever to get to pick-up and we were freezing, it was still fun having a chance to hang out with all my sisters beforehand!
  3. The week was finally one that had cold weather! Tuesday's high was in the 50s, so of course I had to take a selfie to commemorate the moment. I love sweater and scarf weather and am more than ready for it to be a consistent thing!
  4. Meet Gentry! My sorority president and her boyfriend adopted this adorable little pup and all the officers got to meet her before anyone else did at our exec board meeting on Thursday! She's too cute for words and has the most incredible blue eyes you'd ever see on a dog!
  5. The leaves in the Fort are finally turning beautiful colors. I'm surprised, honestly, because I don't think I've ever seen such wonderful colors in Texas. I'm going to contribute the changes to the unseasonably wet weather we've been having this year, but I'm definitely not complaining! I love driving to my internship in the mornings... The trees are absolutely gorgeous!
This week is technically my last full week of school before finals... Next week is a half week, then Thanksgiving break, then another half week, and then dead days. Eeeeek! I can't believe how quickly this semester has flown by...

Things for Happiness: Week 17

It's been a long week, y'all... And it's not like I've even had all that much to do, it's simply dragged on and on and on... I'm at the point in the semester where I am ready for my month-long break! (At the same time, I'm also dreading my Thanksgiving and winter breaks because I know that their impending approach actually means that I'll have to get my group projects done soon and start studying for finals before long... Eeeeep!)

Here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. I finally acquired an infinity scarf! I've been wanting one for about a year and a half, and when I saw this fun print at Target, I just knew that I had to have it. I love it - it's so colorful and so soft! Definitely adds a fun bit of pop to whatever I'm wearing.
  2. I went to visit one of my favorite series of photos today - "The Brown Sisters" by Nicholas Nixon. Nixon took a photograph of these four women every year for twenty or so years. It's a wonderful, compelling exhibit and it reminds me why I love photography so much.
  3. I found a recipe for some delicious white-bean-and-spinach tacos that I made a few days ago and have been slowly working my way through the leftovers... So good, so simple, and visually appealing to boot! What more could you ask for in a food?
  4. My beautiful, wonderful, and talented best friend/little had her artwork exhibited for the first time in the art school's gallery! I went to the opening on Monday to support her and was so proud to see her work on the wall. This girl's got an incredible ability with a paintbrush.
  5. My banana blanket. The temperatures have dropped pretty substantially here lately, so this magnificent yellow sheaf of fuzz has been keeping me toasty. It's brilliant.

Things for Happiness: Week 16

Happy Saturday, y'all! It's been quite a long week and I cannot even begin to explain how incredibly excited I am that it's the weekend... It feels like I've been waiting for it for a long time.. Though it was a long one, it was a week full of little things that reminded me to smile!

So here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. The Amon G. Carter Museum here in Fort Worth is hosting an exhibition about the history of color photography, titled "Color!" Since I'm such a photography dork, of course I had to go out and see it! My guy and I went yesterday, and it was absolutely brilliant. My favorite part had to be the wall of photographs they had collected from people from the 40's all the way up to the present.. It was incredible, and wonderfully inspiring!
  2. Whiskey Pistol is a band that one of my friends does social media work for. She contacted me to ask if I would be interested in doing some photos for them, and I obliged - I'm so glad I did! I went to one of their performances on Tuesday night and I was immediately won over by their sound - they're fantastic! If you're looking for an awesome new band to get behind, definitely check them out on Facebook, and listen to a little bit of what they sound like on their SoundCloud!
  3. Halloween was on Thursday, so of course my friends and I had to take the opportunity to dress up! This year's costumes? Gruu and his minions from Despicable Me. It was a huge hit - big shout out to Liz for being amazing and making our costumes look incredible!
  4. On Wednesday night, I hosted a dinner for one of my sorority's educational leadership consultants. She was such a sweet girl, and I had a lot of fun chatting with her and my other sisters who came by. (And yes, our dinner spread was quite diverse: chicken, mac & cheese, salad, broccoli, and... Pancakes?)
  5. This guy. I know I basically put him on the list every single week, but he deserves it, time and time again. He had a long, tiring week but he still took the time to come see me and comfort me when I wasn't feeling too great emotionally. It's gushy and gross, but he really does mean a whole lot to me. I can't even begin to describe how lucky I feel to have him in my life.
Hard to believe it's already November... Personally, I am ready for Thanksgiving Break and cool temperatures. Only about three and a half more weeks left of my semester... It's crazy!

Things for Happiness: Week 15

Lots of people making me happy this week... Let's get to it!

Here are the things that are making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. The crew (minus Liz, plus Bryce)! There's nothing better than your very best friends. The love I have for these people is incredible. It really is true that you meet your best friends for life in college. They are these people.
  2. Roommate since freshman year and my little in one photograph? Yes, yes, yes. Had such a fun time at the game with these girls yesterday!!
  3. I went to the Cutting Edge Haunted House (which, by the way, holds the Guinness World Record for the biggest haunted house in the world) this weekend with these two lovely ladies and our dates - it was absolutely terrifying, but also incredibly fun!
  4. The boyfriend's fraternity had a "nerd" themed mixer, and it was so much fun to dress silly, go out with him, his roommates, and some of my closest friends! This photo also just makes me smile.
  5. When I got home from winter break on Tuesday, I found this cute little bag on my bed - Kylie's momma made all of us little Halloween-themed goody bags! What a wonderful way to be welcomed home after a lovely break.

Things for Happiness: Week 14

Yes, yes this post is super late, I know... I always feel like I'm disappointing people when I check my page analytics and see that page views have increased significantly on Fridays because I know people are anticipating a new happiness post...

Well, it's fall break and I got a bit lazy - not to mention that I've been busy with my guy in Tulsa for the break - so yeah.

Anyway, here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1.  Like I mentioned above, I've got my guy with me in Tulsa for the break. It's been so incredibly wonderful spending time with him and getting to show him around T-Town. We went to Stillwater for the TCU/OSU game on Saturday and had such a blast! It was incredible to be there, and I got to introduce him to some of my good friends, which was awesome.
  2. I've got a tiny bit of a pumpkin obsession... Just a tiny bit. I made pumpkin pancakes for Lakota and I before we ventured out on our 4.5 hour drive to Tulsa on Friday morning... They were so good!
  3. I preordered the Humans of New York book and was pleasantly surprised to find it sitting in my mailbox on the afternoon of its release! It's a brilliant little collection of photographs, and it was definitely an excellent buying decision. What an inspiring project! I am obsessed.
  4. More pumpkin! Okay, but seriously, if y'all like pumpkin-flavored anything, and/or tea, you need to try this tea from Trader Joe's. It's seriously fall-flavored happiness in your mouth, no joke.
  5. It's so good to be back in Tulsa (even if it is only for a little while). The weather here is far more fall-like than it was in Fort Worth, so I am embracing the chill in the air and the fall colors appearing in the foliage. Maybe if I try really hard, I can steal some of this weather to bring back with me to Texas?? I can only hope...

Things for Happiness: Week 13

Yay, this post is actually on time! Look at me go, y'all. :)

Here are the things that are making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. My chapter initiated 44 new members this past Sunday - it was so exciting to see all of our little "babies" become official and I feel so proud of how far our chapter has come with the official initiation of the pledge class of 2013! :)
  2. I love pumpkin season. And this stuff? It's just incredible. It smells like pumpkin-infused dreams, and it makes your skin SO SOFT. It's sad, but I am truly considering buying about three or four more things of it next time I go to Trader Joe's so I can have a delectable pumpkin-scented surplus of the stuff, even after pumpkin season is over...
  3. These wonderful treats came to me as a surprise from my best friends - and sisters - yesterday after I had a stress-related bawl session. They showed up in my room with a plastic bag and started pulling all these goodies out, and I lost it. I feel so incredibly lucky to have such loving people in my life.
  4. Tonight was TCU's Homecoming Parade! I got to ride on a float that my sisters and I helped pomp, and it was a lot of fun going through the streets of our campus, waving at all the families (especially those with little kids!) that showed up to watch the parade. We play KU tomorrow, but I probably won't be attending because of the sheer amount of work I've got to get done...
  5. These are those aforementioned best friends - and sisters - from the third point. Kylie and Liz. They make me so incredibly happy and because of them, I know that I am loved. Words can't describe how amazed I am that I got lucky enough to have people like them in my life! (Also, today was our philanthropy-related day for AOII, so we matched in our cute little v-necks, yay!)

Things for Happiness: Week 12

This is a really really late post, phew. I've been getting really bad about making these posts timely, y'all... For that, I do apologize. Anyhow, without further ado...

Here are the things that have been making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. Downtown Fort Worth has incredibly beautiful water gardens. I've not been in a while, so on Friday afternoon, when both my guy and I finally had some free time, I suggested we visit. It was lovely walking through, enjoying the sunlight and the soothing sound of flowing water. While we were down at the "reflecting pool," we even saw a proposal happen! Being the sap that I am, I loved it - it was too cute for words!
  2. It's officially pumpkin season y'all... Four words: Pumpkin. Chocolate. Chip. Cookies. Yes, they are just as incredible as they sound.
  3. It felt legitimately fall-like today, so I took the opportunity to dress in my fall best -- especially in that wonderful mustard yellow sweater that I absolutely adore. Thank you, H&M!
  4. Like I mentioned in number one, my guy and I had a lovely day at the water gardens on Friday (which, incidentally, marked a month of dating). He makes me smile a whole lot and I'm just really really happy he's in my life.
  5. I finally, finally, FINALLY got to spend some time with my beautiful best friend - and roomie-for-life - Shelby this weekend. It felt so good to hang out with her again and have our moments... I've missed her so much and I am way excited for the prospect of having more opportunities to hang with her this year!

Things for Happiness: Week 11

It gets really hard to put one of these posts together when your week is chock-full of meetings, presentations, tests, and deadlines... So, that's my reason for this delayed post. Also, I kind of wanted to purposely delay this so that I could be sure to include some photos from today. :)

Here are the things that are making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. Big/little reveal was this past week and my lovely twin added a new member to our little family - her little!!! I was really excited because I actually had an opportunity to talk to her lovely little during recruitment and I remembered that I loved her right off the bat... A good feeling to know that she had chosen to stick with AOII!
  2. Went and saw Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco with my beautiful roomie Shelby on Thursday night... What a great night of reliving middle school memories by jamming out to some quality pop-punk tunes... Pop-punk is so not dead, y'all!
  3. It's parents' weekend! So so excited that I got to see my parents after two months of being away... They're wonderful and I feel as though I appreciate them more and more each time I see them.
  4. When I bought my dress to victory, I also bought a "sticky bra" to go with it. However, the sticky bra was awkward was still visible when I had my dress on, so I returned it and used the store credit to get this necklace instead. I'm way happier with this purchase - such a simple necklace, but I adore it!
  5. I really liked what I was wearing today (and it finally got a tiny bit cooler to allow me to don my long boots and something with a bit of a sleeve woo!)
Tomorrow I think I'll be heading to Dallas with my parents to spend the day together. The Texas State Fair is on the table as a possibility, as well as some of the museums in the area. We'll see what ends up happening! Either way, I am quite excited - it should be a fun day!

Things for Happiness: Week 10

Hey y'all, I know this post is late! I apologize... I've been in a very scatterbrained mindset as of late... Tons of things floating around my mind, and they've been distracting me hardcore (and making me forget things too... Yikes!)

Anyway, here are the five things that are making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. Today, Texas got a break from miserable weather. Yesterday, it was humid and gloomy, with a steady rain all day. Before that, it was miserably hot. And today? Today finally felt a little bit like fall. The temperatures were only in the 80s, and the breeze had a bit of a chill to it. It was wonderful. I sat in my room with all of my windows open and the fresh air was exhilarating.
  2. I had my victory on Thursday - it was a fun excuse to gussy myself up and hang out with some of the most amazing girls in the world. Sadly, my boy couldn't be there, but I had a good time with my friends nonetheless.
  3. My victory dress! This lovely little creation made me feel really really pretty. The entire back was bare except for some delicate, black criss-crossing straps.
  4. Pretty, tasty food always makes me happy. Today's lunch was no exception. Egg white omelet with feta cheese & spinach, toasted sandwich things with cream cheese, and berries. Yum!
  5. Finally, finally have a photo of the boy for the blog. His name's Lakota, and he makes me smile a lot, so he'll probably see a fair share of "Things for Happiness" posts in his time.
This upcoming week is looking to be a long, arduous one. Proposals, quizzes, tests, oh my! I hope that it goes by relatively quickly... I've got far too much on my mind as it is.. No matter! I shall always keep my head up because the world is full of too many beautiful things not to smile.

Things for Happiness: Week 8

What a week, y'all... I know that this is a day late, but I'm going to go ahead and blame that on the fact that I had an extremely long weekend and thus messed up my sense of time... :)

So here are the things making me happy this week (in no particular order):

  1. Beautiful, beautiful nature. Living in Texas for school often makes me forget that the weather is capable of changing from blue skies and sunshine to an occasional cloudy day or bit of precipitation. These awesome clouds were above my darling Kylie's house as we stayed with her parents for two days during the long weekend.
  2. Lea, the beautiful quarter horse. I got to ride her on Monday - it was my first-ever horseback riding experience, and while I thought I was going to be terrified, I actually had a blast! I can't wait to go back and ride again - way too much fun.
  3. The crew (minus two). We had an amazing Sunday at the lake with Kylie's parents. We went out on their ski boat, tubed, and I attempted to water ski... I almost got up, but not quite. Regardless of that, I had so much fun - that weekend is definitely in my top five favorite weekends of all time, hands down.
  4. Shelby! She doesn't get nearly enough love on this blog because she's always running around, busy as a bee. Today was our first home football game against Southeastern Louisiana, and it was so awesome getting the chance to finally hang out and chat with her. Roommates since freshman year, and best friends for life, for sure.
  5. Jack! This precious little guy is Kylie's puppy, and I absolutely fell in love with him while we stayed at Kylie's parents' place for a few days during the weekend. He's sweet as sugar, and loves getting loving!
Also, honorable mention for someone making me happy this week - if you're reading this, you know who you are, and you really brightened my entire week. Great way to spend a Wednesday & Thursday night, and an entire Friday. :)

Things for Happiness: Weeks 4 & 5

This "Things for Happiness" post is super-sized, mostly because the past two weeks have been so hectic for me that I've barely had time to sleep or get groceries, much less write a blog entry... But now that things have calmed down and the sorority insanity is over, I can finally give y'all the things that have been making me happy these past two weeks! I have combined them into this one giant post, so instead of the usual five things, today I'll be mentioning ten. :)

Without further ado, here are the ten things that have been making me happy the past two weeks:

1.) My "crew" (or at least 80% of it). Honestly, these are the most wonderful friends I have ever had in my life. I never thought that I could have such an amazing group of people by my side through good and bad, and I know that these are the people that are going to be in my life forever, regardless of where I live, what stage of life I'm at, or how busy I get.

2.) My beautiful "little" and best friend - Kylie. This beautiful girl has been through hell and back with me in the past two weeks as we experienced our first-ever work week and formal recruitment experience. She and I trekked back and forth from Greek Row all two weeks, and bonded over our mutual annoyance of the long hours and the constant singing and clapping. I don't think there's a better person on this planet I could have chosen to spend the last two weeks with.

3 & 4.) Lambda Rho and our new Pledge Class 2013! After a LONG two weeks of stress, little sleep, and stupid rumors, all of our hard work finally came to fruition when we welcomed our "baby pandas" in the pledge class of 2013. Honestly, it was all worth it. These girls are not only beautiful, they are also sweet as sugar, incredibly funny, and intelligent, and I absolutely know that they will be a wonderful addition to our great chapter.

5.) Coffee. It has been my lifeblood these past two weeks. I don't know how I would have gotten anything done (or stayed alive) without it.

6.) This beautiful Margo & Sebastian maxi dress. I finally had the chance to wear it to Kylie's birthday dinner the other night, and I absolutely love it! Wearing it makes me feel so lovely.

7.) Kashi Banana Chocolate Chip Chewy Bars. These things have been what has kept me going through recruitment and work week. In between endless events, we'd have ten minute breaks, which were just long enough for me to scarf one of these down and not pass out.

8.) This sunglasses case. I am notorious for losing, scratching, and breaking my sunglasses (and I love sunglasses, so it's a pretty big problem). I finally have a case to put them in so that doesn't happen though, and I could not be more pumped!

9.) Layered necklaces. I guess that's trendy now, but I love it. I used to layer TONS of necklaces back in my middle school years, but now I love the way that simple, dainty little trinkets look around my neck.

10.) Bed. Okay, no really though. After two weeks of sleep that could barely pass as sleep, my bed and I have been becoming reacquainted and it feels so good! Too bad school starts up again soon...

Things for Happiness: Week 3

Another week, another late things for happiness post... Alas, that is what happens when you're roadtripping your things across state lines to move back to school! I hope y'all forgive me... ;)

Anyway, here's what's making me happy this week (in no particular order):
  1. Brand new Oklahoma necklace! I've been giving the Sooner state some major love on my blog lately, and now I'll be giving it major love with my choice of accessories. I've wanted one of these necklaces for quite a while, but I could never find one that was simple - and affordable - enough for my tastes. Finally found this one, and I am in love! Definitely going to become one of my most favorite necklaces, I think.
  2. My family - words truly cannot even begin to describe how incredibly happy I am to have my aunt, uncle, and cousin visiting. It's a new experience for me - having family come visit me instead of the other way around. I love it!
  3. Home sweet Texas. Officially moved my stuff back to Texas yesterday - I am more than happy to be back and I cannot wait for another exciting school year!
  4. My other family - my beautiful roommates and best friends! I am so excited to finally be living with these wonderful women for good. I know that this year is going to be absolutely incredible, and I feel so lucky to have them.
  5. Hair accessories - I could never really wear these before because the combination of curly, large, frizzy hair and bangs was a problem all in itself - throwing a hair accessory into the mix made it too complicated for me. Now that the bangs are out of the equation though, I can finally rock all those fun headbands and flower crowns that have become so trendy as of late!

Things for Happiness: Week 1

As I've stated before, I created this blog to celebrate the simple things in life that make me happy. I'm lucky enough to find that many, many things in this life make me happy, and I'd love to share them all with you! (Hopefully you'll find some things that make you happy as well. :) ) Thus, I will be making a weekly list of five things that stand out in my mind as making me particularly happy that week. Look for the entry on Thursdays!

So without further ado, here are the five things making me happy this week:

  1. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in "Plum's the Word" - such an awesome shade of deep purple! I love it because it looks great on my nails and lasts for ages - it doesn't begin to chip for at least a week, and I love how that makes it very low maintenance. My nails actually grow faster than this polish takes to chip! Also, it just makes my toes happy. :)
  2. Upcoming photoshoot plans this weekend - after a summer of next-to-no photoshoots (I have literally only had one thus far), I'm finally getting back to squeezing some shoots in before I leave for school in two weeks. Also, working with some new (lovely) models! First shoot is on Friday evening, and hopefully another one (or two) will follow on Saturday and Sunday. Those photos will definitely go up on this blog, so keep a lookout!
  3. The Lumineers - Lumineers - I know, I know. I'm way late on this, but I finally bought this lovely CD. I've been listening to some awesome Lumineers tunes on Spotify for ages, but now I finally own them! If you've not given this wonderful disc a listen yet, skip the overplayed "Ho Hey" and go for "Big Parade," "Flowers In Your Hair," or "Flapper Girl" (my personal top three).
  4. Polaroid book - bought this brilliant little book of excellent Polaroids at the bookstore yesterday, and I am in love! I absolutely adore Polaroids... I really wish it wasn't so danged expensive to take Polaroid photos anymore. I really feel like I missed out on owning - and abusing - a fun Polaroid camera.
  5. Linen tote bag - this wonderful bag was only $5 at Marshall's! Of course I had to purchase it. It's so roomy and durable, it's definitely going to be put to good use for carrying groceries and other necessities this upcoming school year - I absolutely cannot wait!
What is making y'all happy this week? Let me know in the comments! :)
