Okay so if any of y'all know me in person, you'll know that I love clothing and fashion. I dress up for class every single day (and by "dress up" I mean I haven't gotten to the point (...yet) where I care so little that I just stick to my sorority shirts and exercise shorts), and I make an effort to look good. Some people don't understand why - I'm a college junior, not a freshman; I shouldn't have anyone to impress, and why do I care so much?
Well, I like looking good. Not for anyone in particular - simply for myself. I like the confidence I get when I walk out of my apartment dressed in something simple that is both comfortable and makes me feel put-together. It doesn't have to be anything super complicated either. Lately, I've been pairing comfy shorts with soft exercise tanks or light tees in various colors and then adding pops of detail with my jewelry and other little accessories.
For my internship, however, I have to mix it up a little bit. The office gets very cold when the AC turns on, and longer bottoms are a must. Luckily, the culture at my internship is very casual, so I can wear just about whatever I want (within reason, of course). Today I'll be sharing one of the outfits that I threw together for my internship that is both put-together and comfortable (a win-win situation, if you ask me)!
I am literally obsessed with these leggings. Ob. Sessed. Bought them at Marshall's earlier this summer and have only had a few opportunities to wear them... I can't wait until the temperatures start dropping and I can wear them to class! The print on them is so fun, and really adds a nice pop to any outfit. The necklaces may be familiar - I featured them in last week's jumbo "Things for Happiness" post. They're definitely becoming my favorite neck baubles. They're so simple and they complement each other so well!
Likewise, that t-shirt is one of my most beloved things in my closet right now... It's so lightweight and soft, and I love how it loosely hangs on my body. It's a straight-up comfort shirt and I adore it!
Oh, and the best part of this outfit? All together, it cost me about $44. :)
